Horsemanship is the art of mastering our own movements, thoughts, emotions and behavior. Not the horses.” - Mark Rashid

As a firm believer in kind horsemanship and one who rejects dominance theory, my training techniques revolve around building mutual trust between horse and rider. I firmly believe that horses are intelligent and sensitive beings, deserving of respect and understanding. My philosophy centers around creating a cooperative and harmonious partnership with my equine companions, rather than asserting dominance.

Central to my training approach is the principle of rewarding desired behaviors. Rather than punishing incorrect responses, I prefer to redirect the horse's attention and reward them for making the right choices. This method encourages the horse to actively engage in the learning process, promoting their confidence and willingness to cooperate. By acknowledging and rewarding progress, we create a positive learning experience for the horse.

I believe that everyone can benefit from continued education. I regularly lesson with a variety of equine and dressage professionals.
